Hello, All!

I am so excited to be a part of the FOCOS Team going to Ghana this November, and I can't wait to see all of the lives that will be changed during our short stay! FOCOS is a nonprofit organization that provides much needed orthopedic care to adult and pediatric patients in underserved communities.

I have been a part of the Young Friends of FOCOS (YFF) for several years now, and I am thrilled to be able to volunteer in such a powerful way. My passion for this organization runs deep, and I am looking forward to being a part of it.

A scoliosis patient myself, I have had 18 spinal/spinal related surgeries to correct my severe curvature, many of them performed by Dr. Boachie, the founder of FOCOS. I have been through exactly what these patients will be going through and I hope to show them that their scoliosis doesn't have to stop their lives and that they can do whatever they put their minds to. I will be playing music, cheering up the patients, loving on each one of them and helping the team in any capacity they need.

If you would like to make a tax-deductible donation, please click the "GIVE NOW" button on the bottom right corner of the screen. My goal is to raise $2,500 for airfare, lodging and food for the two week trip. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at Thank you so much!

Many blessings,

Holly Bergk
