Description & Mission:
The Young Friends of FOCOS (YFF) is a division of the FOCOS Volunteer Committee created with the intent of getting youth and young professionals involved with the FOCOS organization and granting young supporters the opportunity to raise funds and participate in FOCOS programs.

The May 2009 Mission Trip was so full of young spirit, that upon arrival back to the United States, volunteers Grace Ames and Akilah King decided to overhaul an effort to spread the mission of FOCOS to the young people of America and around the world. YFF’s impetus stems from the experiences of young volunteers in Ghana who witnessed the transformation in quality of life that FOCOS provides to the children who would have little hope otherwise. The goal of YFF is to raise awareness and funds so FOCOS may continue treating children with life-threatening spinal deformities. The idea is that anyone of any age can participate in an effort to positively impact and change lives.
