Twenty-nine year old, Amos, suffers from kyphoscoliosis and is in urgent need of life saving surgery.

Amos has experienced recurrent back and lower limb pain. He is unable to perform hard labor and cannot walk or stand for long periods of time.

Amos is currently supported by his mother who is a peasant farmer in a village near Tamale in the Norther region of Ghana. He works part-time as a security guard at a local school but earns last than $20 per month. The work is becoming more and more taxing and he feels he soon will not be able to perform his duties.

Amos hopes to one day become a Pastor.

Though his surgery is complex, doctors believe that surgery will be successful and will allow Amos to live a healthy and fulfilling life.
