Patient Story- Paschalina Adaamba

Pascalina was born with spine deformity. She had surgery in April 2002 at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital. She had never been admitted to a hospital before and had “funny misconceptions about people dying during surgeries and doctors giving wrong injections to people”. She was pleasantly surprised when she first stepped into the ward and noticed that “the place was clean, neat and the nurses were nice and friendly and the doctors were perfect and superb”.

After successful surgery Pascalina returned to school in May 2002. Students poured out of the classrooms to catch a glimpse of her new height. Pascalina thanks God, the FOCOS team, her parents and all who have assisted financially to achieve this wonderful life change. Pease visit the video section in the FOCOS website to hear Pascalina's story.
