Lisa Opoku is the Chairman of FOCOS. She is a Partner at Goldman Sachs and the Chief Operating Officer for Goldman’s Technology Division. She is a member of the Women’s Network and the firm-wide Black Network at Goldman Sachs.
Ms. Opoku joined Goldman Sachs in 2004 as an attorney in the Legal Department and was hired in 2005 to become the Chief Operating Officer for the Fixed Income, Currency and Commodities (FICC) Bank Loan Syndications and Trading business in New York and London. She was named Managing Director in 2006 and made Partner in 2012. Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, Ms. Opoku was a corporate attorney in the law firm of Richards, Spears, Kibbe & Orbe where she was elected partner in 2004. She earned a B.A. in Sociology, summa cum laude, from the University of Minnesota in 1993 and a J.D. from Harvard Law School in 1996. She joined the FOCOS Board of Directors in 2013.
