Joseph Boateng is the Chief Investment Officer for Casey Family Programs, a private foundation that works with communities across America to keep children safe and families strong. Before joining Casey, Joseph was director of U.S. Pension Plans at Johnson & Johnson, managing consultant at KPMG Consulting, principal of Xerox Trust Investments and regional development officer at AIESEC International.
Joseph is a board member of Year Up Puget Sound, which provides low-income young adults with skills development and career support. He chairs the investment advisory committee for the Seattle City Employees’ Retirement System and sits on the Investment Committee of The Seattle Foundation. He also serves on the Advisory Council of AVCA, the pan-African industry body that promotes and enables private investment in Africa. Joseph has served on various financial and investment advisory and working groups throughout his career.
He received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Ghana and an MBA from UCLA. He is an alumnus of the Saïd Business School at University of Oxford. His professional designations include Chartered Financial Analyst, Certified Public Accountant and Personal Financial Specialist.
